Kent Waterkotte and Earl Rogers established Midwest Lumber Products in February of 1996. Combined, the two new owners had forty years of experience in the building industry. At the time of its inception, MLP's concentration was distributing prefinished quality cedar products within a 200-mile radius of central Illinois. In October of 2000, MLP moved into its new office and warehouse, allowing room for the company to expand for future growth.

Over the past decade, MLP has grown into one of the major distributors of quality building products. From cedar orders delivered to California to Solatubes shipped to Colorado, MLP now distributes nationwide.

MLP remains locally owned and managed. The employees of MLP are dedicated to quality products, professional service, and continuous improvements in assisting the building professionals.
